Sefan Marinov's Coupled Mirrors experiment
Entitled, "The velocity of light is direction dependent," this PDF file
of mediocre quality reports on the first experiment to measure linear motion
through the firmament.
About the Figure: A modified model of Tycho's system in which the
sun marks the focus of all the orbits of the planets. The planets
accompany the sun in a counter-clockwise direction about the earth once a year,
as do the stars. In addition, the entire figure rotates clockwise about the
earth's poles with a period of 24 hours. Fantastic though this model may appear
at first sight, it not only works, but is physically and mathematically
tractable.
